This is Tian Ma Shan, a mountain that is easy to access from my hotel in Putian.. According to my GPS, the mountain elevation starts at 50ft and ends at 1436ft. A hefty hike, and 7.3 mi round trip from the DoubleTree hotel.

view from the pagoda. This was an enormous pagoda, but it was unfinished. I actually walked past a sign that I think said "Do not enter".... but there was nobody there... so i had to check it out.

To the left of the pic you can see little white spots in the trees. These are bags tied around fruit in the trees. I think the bags are placed there to protect the fruit from bugs or something.

toward the right you can see buildings from Putian

The DongZhen Resuvoir. It looked like the water was significantly lower at this time of year.

Panoramic view from the pagota at the top of Tianma Shan

It seems there is an unfinished path coming down the west side of the mountain leading to a staircase. I think this stair leads back down to the hotel a few hundred feet below, but I'm not sure. I didn't have enough time to explore. I was afraid if I went down this path, Id end up having to turn around and re-climb the peak from that side in order to find my way home.
